During this process, the delightful fragrances of clementine and vanilla were put to the test. The citrus aroma of the clementine proved to make participants happy and stimulated while the scent of vanilla made them feel content and relax.

Aside from the olfactory testing, experts also used heart rate, blood pressure, skin resistance, and muscle tension to validate the stress relieving properties of these fragrances. In particular, by measuring the tension on the shoulders, scientists were able to confirm the power of certain relaxing fragrances on reducing stress-induced muscle tension .

I've always been fond of scented lotions, soaps and candles. However, finding the right product is hard. The high variety of products, brands, and scents  in the market today can make it nearly impossible to distinguish between a high quality product from a low end one.
